Become a FIGO social ambassador


FIGO is delighted to reopen the social ambassador scheme. This year’s programme will support FIGO’s communications in the lead-up to the FIGO 2027 World Congress and help build a diverse, engaged network of digital voices passionate about women’s health and global health equity.

The programme is open to healthcare professionals, advocates and influencers working in the women’s health space, particularly those who share content in English, French or Spanish.

From preventing postpartum haemorrhage and post-caesarean sepsis to navigating maternal requests ethically, this session brings together FIGO experts to strengthen safety, shared decision-making and respectful care across the caesarean birth experience.

How a hospital in Enugu State, Nigeria, became safer for women giving birth


At Poly General Hospital, new tools and training from the FIGO LDI:REACH project helped health workers respond faster to life-threatening complications like postpartum haemorrhage and severe pre-eclampsia.

Led by Dr Eziamaka Ezenkwele, teams introduced evidence-based practices, clinical debriefs and blood-loss measuring drapes to help detect PPH earlier and provide lifesaving care

FIGO Women's Leadership Network


The FIGO Women’s Leadership Network is a new member-wide initiative designed to support, connect and empower women and gender-diverse leaders – strengthening representation, fostering peer support and building a vibrant global community. 

Building on the earlier LDI Voices programme, the network incorporates insights from participants who explored barriers to women’s leadership. Open to members at all stages of their leadership journey – particularly those early in training or aspiring to leadership roles.

New PremPrep‑5 implementation survey


The FIGO Committee on Preterm Birth invites obstetricians, midwives, nurses and other maternal and newborn health professionals to complete a survey on PremPrep-5 – an initiative that focuses on five simple, evidence-based interventions proven to improve outcomes for preterm babies.

This anonymous survey takes just five–ten minutes and is available in English, French and Spanish. Responses will support efforts to improve care and outcomes for babies born too soon worldwide.

Supporting early career OBGYNs with leadership empowerment series


FIGO is pleased to launch the Leadership Empowerment Series, a 15-module online course designed to equip early career OBGYNs and other women’s health professionals with the key skills, confidence and strategic insight needed to drive meaningful, lasting change.

This series represents a meaningful step forward in FIGO’s commitment to strengthening leadership capacity across our member societies.
