This month, members of the FIGO leadership team, representatives from our host society, SOGC, and the Congress Chairs visited the Palais des congrès de Montréal. The site visit provided an opportunity to explore the space, strengthen collaboration, and advance planning for what promises to be an inspiring global gathering in 2027.

Impact of the Advocating for Safe Abortion Project in Benin

Dr Emmanuel Ewagnignon shares his reflections on the significant impact that the FIGO Advocating for Safe Abortion Project has had in Benin and how it has led to real change, including confronting stigma, strengthening sexual and reproductive health law and expanding access to safe care, ultimately saving the lives of women and girls.

IJGO supplement on health systems and multisectoral action to end female genital mutilation

Read a new supplement produced by Cochrane Nigeria, in collaboration with the WHO Department of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Research, examining how health systems and multisectoral efforts can support the primary prevention of female genital mutilation (FGM) and the clinical management of its complications.
