Global shift towards imaging for endometriosis diagnosis highlighted in new IJGO study


A new study led by members of the FIGO Committee on Reproductive Medicine, Endocrinology and Infertility (REI), shows a significant global move towards using non-invasive imaging, particularly specialist ultrasound and MRI, to diagnose endometriosis. The survey's findings highlighted that clinicians found non-invasive imaging as potentially transformative, noting benefits for surgical planning, diagnostic accuracy and patient-centred care.
