WHO recommendations on the management of sickle cell disease during pregnancy
WHO has released its first ever global guideline to improve the management of sickle-cell disease during pregnancy, addressing a critical and growing health challenge that can have life-threatening consequences for both women and babies. It covers over 20 evidence-based recommendations, that are especially relevant for low- and middle-income settings, to support clinicians and policymakers worldwide.
